Chap Foundation, a woman-led grassroots organization, uses training and upskilling as powerful tools for social change. Their focus is on creating inclusive and sustainable livelihood solutions for rural women in villages across the Northern Himalayas of India.
As of today, Chap Foundation has trained approximately 400 women and is currently working with a team of 80 artisans. The foundation has donated 30 laptops and facilitated community interactions for more than 1000 tourists with the artisans. These artisans, who previously had little or no knowledge of the craft, have now found a source of pride and sustainable livelihood by crafting authentic handmade lifestyle products and accessories.
